I am a breeder & i bred my first chihuahua litter in 1992 then again in 1994 ... i still have contact with these dogs & owners ....., all these years on ........i have bred chinese cresteds , 2 ch cresties & 1 with stud book number... i do like to breed & i put my all into raiseing a litter , i try to get them nearly house-trained by 6 weeks old , i start toilet training at 3 weeks old .... taking them out onto grass & concrete for toilet / i get them eating well / they are crated at night only ..... puppys are brought up in my liveing room & all noises of hoover/ washing machine etc, all my effort makes good socialised puppys ....... i vet ALL new owners & ask them to visit pup as often as possible ......

everyone knows that i also breed but we have a breeder group, about 10 of us all breeding small breeds. chis, poms, lhasa`s, yorkies. all dedicated to breeding healthy, well rounded puppies. we dont allow viewing until 6 weeks to protect mum and pups from stress and infection and all our puppies are micro chipped, wormed to date, vet checked and insured before they leave. i am always available to speak to anyonewho is thinking of breeding and will give advice or support. just pm me and i will give you my phone no.

I show and I breed (on a small scale ) maybe once or twice a year or every two ,three years- depending on my numbers still at home and have been in the dog scene for quite some time .
- although many times it may be difficult and you may have some terrible things happen- no matter how hard you try and how much info you have -there may be heartbreak and risks -that unfortunately is the worst part - something I never have been able to get used to and I know you are all probably well aware of that-.
I often keep my pups longer to see how they turn out and never place a pup before its at least 12 weeks old - I havent placed many at that age only to breeders I know - as I show and like to see how the lines develop- it also helps with future breeding guidance and genetic history.
I have the luxury of not working at the moment so I will be breeding at the end of the year .
I hope you have a wonderful experience and all goes well- every case is different and you may have the best whelping ever -Kari had a great experience with her litter - truly beautiful babes -
I know that having self whelpers has made breeding a lot less risky for me -does Lola come from self whelping lines- be great if she did- a real bonus -.
I know you will be so well informed , prepared and ready - I can offer you any experience that I have had -but in saying that many of us have different ideas in our breeding habits -so it will be an area where you can have different and varied options to look at-my best always been my trusted vet - but I have had such wonderful assistance , advice, help and support from other breeders - I was so so glad and grateful that they were there for me .!!!!
And you already have Anncam -Im sorry I dont know you very well -[ come and join us - love to hear from you more -] and Vanessa ready to help -Nate and many others are also so informed and helpful - and Youll have lots of support and love from all the members here and Ive done the big ramble post again !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! but you get my drift .
looking forward to seeing Tito and Lolas babes in the future .

I am breeder for many years also but I am actually waiting on my fiirst registered litter. I have 4 AKC CkC(Canada) registered females and 1 (2 soon) AKC CKC(Canada) little boys. I really love that breed, those little gremlins are my family in a way. My goal is to raise chis with extreme applehead and short muzzle. They are not easy to find but for now I am happy of my breeders. I am always scanning Internet to find "the pearls". I am supposed to start to train them to show but I had to put a hold on that project time to fix my health so it should be soon. I am impatient to start, it will make me spend alot of time with my shrimps!

Hi. I'm Amber. I live in Florida. I'm new to dog breeding, but have 4 1/2 years of experience working in veterinary hospitals and know the precautions and do my research. I currently have 5 Chihuahuas, and 3 Pekingese. One of my Pekes is a rescue that had been hit by a car and brought into the hospital I work at. She's made a full recovery, by the way. I currently have 2 Chihuahua pups that were born almost 2 weeks ago. They are precious. My website is geocities.com/adidas_c03/Home.html if anyone wants to visit and look around

ACA= American Canine Association. I know some people have preconceived notions about what registries mean. Some say that AKC dogs are the only quality dogs out there. I happen to believe that the lineage of the dog in professional documentation of purebred breeding, close conformation to the breed standards, and deemed healthy by a veterinarian is what makes a quality specimen...not which registry the dog belongs to. Just thought I would give my input before anyone questions the reputability or quality of my, or anyones, dogs.
