Thanks! It'll be a week tonight that my husband found her and brought her home and she is such a great kitty! Very loving, she lays by the shower door waiting on me to come out and sleeps by my head at night. Very sweet!

Hi everyone, I've just realised that although I joined the site in April this year, I don't think I ever posted in the newbie section! Sorry about that! I am Sarah, from Buckinghamshire in the UK, I'm 28 and I live with my boyfriend Toby. I am SIX DAYS away from picking up my first Chi and I am very excited! She is a little tri-colour girl and she is very cute! I can't wait to get her and post pics for you all to see! Sarah P.S. I thought I'd mention that I'm originally from Derbyshire and that Holly (and Peanut!) is a friend of me and my brother, so Yay, I know someone on here! Hi Holly!

#welcome# Kerry hi happy you found us good to meet you. My dad never met a stranger and he always said you can't have too many friends. I am so sorry you lost your dad and I know it is so hard but always remember the good times and I believe they are always with us and watching over us. Did you know that sometimes you can get a free chihuahua there are so many chis in the rescue centers? I don't know much about it but I am sure that some of the ladies here have tons of useful information. Best of luck and you can pm me any time have a blessed day #hugs#

So nice to find out more about everyone!!! Some lovely, brave people on here Sinead- im really sorry if im getting too personal but you mentioned your dad died of a heart attack. Must have been so horrible for you as he was so young and sounded liek such a wonderful dad- as do all the dads you have mentioned here! But Iwas wondering if you know what causes heart attacks? I am always worrying about my dad. My parents are older, im 17 but my dads nearly 64. I know he has angina and is on alot of medication and he has had minor heart attacks in teh past- but uiqte a few years ago but im so worried that he will die of a heart attck and wont live very long. I knw it sounds so horrible to think that but i just dont know about these things! I never talk about that stuff with my family so i dont know much about Angina or anything. I have looked it up on the internet but didnt realy understand! So was wondering if you coudl help me know anything about it? x x x x x x

Hi everyone, I'm Nanette, I'm 23 and just finished my 4-year BSc at the University of Guelph. I majored in Biological Sciences and minored in Psychology and Nutrition. I'm planning on going back to school in 2009 for an MSc in Applied Ethology and plan on attending veterinary school after that, or doing a PhD. I currently work as a pet dog trainer, a vet assistant and I tutor. My parents, whom I live with, have given me an ultimatum: get a 'real' job or go back to school ASAP. I have a 21 year old brother who is in engineering and also lives at home. Our menagerie currently consists of 3 dogs (2 Chis and a Cocker Spaniel X Poodle), 2 cats (a Siamese and a Domestic Shorthair), an Abyssinian Guinea Pig, 2 goldfish. My father just announced tonight that we are inheriting a 2-foot long tank of tropical fish from a friend of his who is moving overseas, and we will be getting Lexi's mother shortly. I also have a pony who is 14 years old and I bought her myself when I was 15...my parents didn't find out for 3 months as I was already working by then and was paying for everything out of my own pocket. I come from a long line of animal lovers What we have right now seems like a lot but my mother told me that her father bred Chows and they had 7 dogs at one point; my dad got 3 off them and had a little terrier as well. They also always had cats. Although everyone seems to think I'm nuts for having this many lol...but there is never a dull moment!
