Hi. Well, according to the dog food analysis "if they exact do know what they are talking about". I always take what it says into consideration. It is rated a 3 star dog food. Has insufficient meat content, use of controversial fillers and has beet pulp in it. According to that I don't think I would feed it to my two fur babies, but you can always try it and if it doesn't work out you can find yet another. I am on the dog food hunt myself at present. I detest it... Takes sooo long to find what your looking for. At present I am feeding my 4 yr. old Chi. Innova and a homemade diet and my baby Chi. Diamond (because thats what he was on when I got him and haven't changed him over yet. If you would like to try it, Innova is a 5 star dog food I believe. Good ingredients, but tends to be a little rich on some Chi's digestive track and not agree with them. Exspecially the wet. Dry- not so bad. It don't do wonders for my older Chi. so Im not real impressed with it but may work for you. I tend to stay with the most Natural dog food I can get. Good luck finding a good food and God bless. Let us know how it goes...

I feed my crew Innova EVO small bites. They love it and have been thriving off of it. I also feed homecooked meals that I prepre for them as well. They get free feed the EVO and at dinner time they get their homecooked dinner.
I have also tried Chicken Soup for the Dog Lover's soul and my crew liked that too, but I switched them over to the EVO as they started to get bored with the CSDLS. They seem to like the EVO much better, but they are both great foods with every small kibble.

You know I used to be a dog food fanatic. But then one day it hit me. Do my dogs really need to eat organic? I mean heck I don't eat organic! I am all about healthy diets for my dogs, but I am no longer going to go overboard with it. My crew eats either Diamond Naturals or Chicken Soup most of the time. Are they good foods? Yes! Are they the best out there? Nope. But my crew is happy, healthy and eating a well balanced diet without fillers, dyes, or other toxic artificial additives.

I think I made myself mad for a while there trying to figure out a good quality food to feed my crew that agreed with everyone and that everyone liked. It can get crazy. I just landed on the Innova EVO due to the high protein content and I have just stuck with that for the most part and so far so good.

I did the same.. I was so frustrated trying to figure out which dog food was the best and which ones to stay away from and I tried so many different brands but finally found one that mine are doing wonderful on. Down the road though, I may try Chicken Soup, I have heard wonderful things about that brand of food.

I am thinking of trying Merrick Puppy Plate for Rocky. I just found out about the web site www.dogfoodanalysis.com and it rated Royal Canin small breed puppy very low. Only 2 stars. I want to try something at atleast 4 stars or better. Anyone use "Merrick Puppy plate"? Also thinking about "Halo Spots Stew Puppy Wholesome Chicken" ? **Update, Well Rocky does not seem to like the Merrick Puppy plate. Vet reccommended Purina ONE puppy to help with his dry skin. But she also said that if he likes the Royal Canine that I should stick with it. So I will try some of the purina and mix in some of the Royal Canin that he loves.

I hate talking about Nutrition, its something i battled with over the years... I have tried garbage foods when i was young with the dogs and as i got older i have tried Eagle pack/Canidea/Chicken soup/Vet food, medical/ Some did fine one the food others had gas and lots of poop to pick up.. Now i'm feeding my crew Royal canin and My one Chihuahua Buster he's 10 years old He has allergies that i have been battling for 2 years now. He's had skin scrapings/thyroid tests done, shampoos and differant foods and nothing worked I just recently switched him over to the Barf Diet and have already seen an improvement. New fur growing in and less scratching and he seems happier. I'm trying Raw Chicken,Beef, Turkey backs, and abit of Holistic Eagle pack dog food Until i feel comfortable feeding Raw than i will remove the kibble and put the whole crew on Raw. Does anyone else feed Raw?
