Donut is currently on Orijen (he was on Canidae previously). He is doing great on it, and I now for sure that it is a great food. But one thing is, his stool has a stronger odour than that when he was on Canidae.
I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions to other foods?
I know that the Royal Canin Chihuahua is designed for dogs that often stay indoor. But reading the ingredients, it still seems to be that Orijen is a better choice in terms of the ingredients.
Any luck with other brands like Wellness Core?
I also noticed that recently there has been alot of new holistic foods out in the market. Not sure if they are worth a try or not. I have never heard of most of them.

I have had great luck with Porsche on Wellness Core--she is on the Reduced Fat formula but has also been on the Ocean Formula since the others were bratty and preferred the Orijen 6 Fresh Fish. I haven't noticed any excessive stool odour from her, but she is also my one Chi that goes outdoors to the bathroom.

Oh and also, Acana (from the same company that makes Orijen) now also makes a grain-free. Lexi has a little bag of it and again, I haven't had any horrendous poo smell problems.

I actually switched my chi's to Blue Buffalo. their website is bluebuff.com. it's holistic. my dogs LOVE IT!! i was feeding nutro before. Their poop doesnt smell on blue, and they are pooping less too. the Blue brand uses all natural ingredients so everything is highly digestible. and there are no "fillers" such a s corn wheat and i think soy...i love this food!!! my dogs get so excited when i open the bag lol!
