I have a slight problem,my boy Jocko hates clothes he always takes them off or tries at least too. :'(I don't put clothes on him all the time because it doesn't get that cold but i do when he goes outside in the morning to potty and every time when i bring him in or come and get him he has either his shirt or sweater lying on the ground. :-[I don't know what to do.Does anyone else's chihuahua do this?If not any advice? I would really appreciate it.

yes pixie does it... she doesnt like wearing clothes at all... depends on what kind it is tho it seems... i have this thin shirt that has huge opening for her legs and she likes it because she doesnt "feel" that its there around her armpits and everything.... and it isnt very tight on her either but not loose enough to bother her. the opening for her head fits like a collar but doesnt squeeze.. i think shes just really picky. shell roll on the ground to pull anything off...... i think some dogs just dont like how it feels. its mostly trial and error i guess. whatever pixie doesnt wear, i put on grace.... theres a little tank top outfit i put on her that reminds me of a tank top for a human and she doesnt seem to mind that either. also i think pixie doesnt like clothes because she gets hot real fast whenever shes playing so maybe thats why too. just try diff outfits on him and see whta he likes i guess. hope that helps!

Some of mine do the same thing. I find that if the leg holes/neck lines are too big they step right out of them. It is a trial and error thing.

put it this way... clothing isnt natural to dogs... so if theres a way to get it off.. they will figure it out soon enough lol

I try not to dress mine as much as possible. They're all pad trained, and I don't like them going out into the snow or the cold anyways, with or without clothes (not that they'd EVER go out in the cold willingly anyways). I put clothes on Star when I first got her, though, because my mom would just buy and buy and buy them, and she'd leave them on with no problems, but then she grew out of them, and my mom grew out of the phase, and we never tried it again. Wish I could be more help!

Yes Emma we used to call Hudini cos any peice of clothing you put on her she would somehow get it of till in the end we stopped dressing her up the only thing she would wear was a pink coat if it was cold weather but as soon as she was back in the house it was of her!!! Some dogs are just not keen on it mine love to dress up only cos they are used to me putting daft things on them!!!
