ok... i want honest answers on this one and no suggestions to take her to the groomers lol because its too expensive for me to do it and too annoying since they are only open durign the week and on the weekends im usually super busy. and i work during the week. but grace is no problem when i clip her nails she doesnt even flinch or care..pixie is different... shes never been hurt by them and she has let me do it before but it was a struggle... she like flinches/lunges at my hand while i try to clip her nails... but she doesnt actually bite.. but its nerve wrecking for me lol... how can i effictively trim her nails. pedi-paws wont work because her paws are too tiny ive tried many times... and when a groomer does it she doesnt care at all so like i googled all of this and it said to put them on a new surface... like put them on a counter, etc... because they focus more on the surroundings and dont care so much about what ur doing... so maybe thats why it works for groomers. i need pixies nails short for this doggie event im goign to this weekend and im bringing her with and i dont want her scratching me or anyone else lol... she has dainty little paws so i think thas why she doesnt like ppl touching them. she also doesnt like if we touch her tail lol poor little spoiled girl.
so what can i do? once i had someone give her frozen doggy yogurt and she licked it the whole time i did her nails and she didnt even care it seemed.... but is there anything else i should try? im curious for others ppls stories of trying to conquer trimming nails of a dog who doesnt like it. i dontthink shes scared of the clippers at all.. because she doesnt care so much about her back nails.. its the front and sometimes i wonder if its because of how i have to hold them and she does not liek her feet being squeezed or even held. Thanks guys! ;D ;D
