I think Donut may be going thru urinary tract infection... is there anything that can be done at the moment before seeing a vet? I know the first thing my vet will do is prescribe antibiotics... and i'm not a big fan of antibiotics (even for myself, i prefer something more natural so that it doesn't screw up the baterial balance in my body) I know for human UTI we can take cranberry supplements, or drink cranberry juice... Donut is peeing more often, in small amounts, and his pee has a stronger smell right now

for a true UTI, I would not hesitate on antibiotics.....if left untreated they can move into the kidneys and cause kidney infections.....and possibly progress into kidney failure. They can be sooooo dangerous. Cranberry for humans is used as a preventative, not a treatment it won't work there. I don't know if it is safe for dogs. If you are worried about the bacterial balance with the antibiotics, a lot of people will give plain yogurt with cultures in it to help replace the beneficial bacteria that may be affected with antibiotics. Just my two cents and own opinion.....

I would definitely see a vet. Dogs don't get urinary tract infections for the same reason that humans do. Plus, you need to see if it is in fact a UTI.
