Ok does ANYONE's chi's have any kind of issue with peeing on a pad. like pixie will pee right on the side and then it runs off, and sometimes she pees right next to it. and no its not dirty...its clean!! so i put a Guinea pig /rabbit playpen gate aorund the pad and i leave one hole side of it open and she still always goes to the side of the pad. she does it in every room and every pad. well not every room but the ones that the pads are in. its so annoying. and im moving to my new apartmetn at the end of june and i dont want this to happen. any suggestions? i know they make tray things and ive put stuff under the pad and she still pees off it cuz she doesnt like walking on the pad when theres a weird surface under it. oy vey!! thanks all in advance!

Rocky does this sometimes too, and yes it is very annoying, sometimes perfect right on the pad and others on the edge or right next to it. I would appreciate the suggestions also!

My Rosalie walks in circles looking for the best place to pee i guess and she almost always pees off the side. so i put 3 or 4 puppy pads in a row and now she doesn't seem to do it.

I don't know what to suggest. Jinxy uses the pee pad too. She doesn't pee outside the pee pad though. Occasionally she will pee near the edge and some of the pee will run off. Maybe you could move the pee pad on the area she likes to pee and see what happens. Like when you pee pad train a puppy and you put pee pads in the places they prefer to go pee pee. Once they know that they must pee on the pee pad you move it to the area you want etc.

we must be super lucky! Lovebug goes in a litter box. We line the inside with one puppy pad and have it placed in the bathroom. He is just 13 weeks old but 100% box trained, he has not had any accidents in the house at all. When ever we use to restroom, he runs along side and uses his potty box as well. Maybe placing the pad in a large size cat box would work? Kinda helps too since he likes to hike his leg up to potty , it doesnt run out everywhere

Well, he's a puppy and still learning. When we first got Ritz, we would only let him out after he's peed on the pad. Then he got free time for a bit, and then back in his area. After he peed again more free time. It worked for well for him
