When I have puppies available I want to send them home with something made with love by me. I went through lots of ideas in my head and came up with this as my final decision...
I was thinking about making a few extra and posting them on my site, maybe my facebook, myspace, etc for sale.
The purchaser would only have to insert a standard size pillow once they receive it to keep the shipping cost down.
Could you all give me your input on this? I was thinking $20-25 plus shipping and handling (probably around $5.95 but I need to look into it to be sure). Be honest about the looks, the prices, etc, please. I will make them in many different colors/patterns.
The cover will open on the under side just like a pillow sham for instance and will have velcro to hold it closed. The top cover is double layered and has quilt batting inside for warmth. So it is not just like one thin blanket layer covering them.
Here is Clay demonstrating it.
but before I spend any kind of money to get started I wanted HONEST thoughts, is it something you would ever buy for your dogs, as a gift for someone elses pets?

I love the idea with the puppies, what a nice take home gift! As far as for selling, what size of dog can fit in them under the quilt part? If it is only puppies, you may not sell as many, but if some adult dogs can, you may sell them better. I just can't tell how far the blanket part opens for a larger, small dog. Hopefully I make sense. Saying that though....many people would most likely buy items like this for puppies as puppies generally get spoiled! Love them xxxx I would get one for another pup, if I didn't already have 4 chi's and Sage and Sadie

i think they are great, awesome idea for the pup's new family to take home too! If it were me, id be making them to order so the person can choose the fabric and size etc - buyer will get exactly what they want and you wont be making any extra beds that may not sell

Thanks Michelle and Shaz for the input and compliments. I will most likely do them to order but I wanted to have just a couple examples made up first for people to see, maybe one or two girlie ones and one or two boy ones to put on my site. I figure if they don't sell they could be ones that get sent home with a puppy lol.

They are awesome! I love them! I think $20-25 is a fine price, if I had the money, I would buy one for my 2 .

I think it's awesome too. It's also great that the buyer will get to choose the size, colour etc.
